As a community of faith our hearts are full of sorrow for the community of Sutherland Springs, Texas. But we need to provide more than prayers; as a Nation we need to find ways to put an end to gun violence. The Second Amendment is not about the right to own an AR-15, the same weapon used to kill 26 children and teachers at Sandy Hook Elementary School. We who care about our communities and our children must speak out and put an end to the availability of the kinds of weapons designed only to kill the greatest number of people.
