When many, if not most, of us hear the name Marjorie Taylor Greene, we can’t help thinking about this Congresswoman from Georgia and her QAnon connections, which were all the rage about ten years ago. Thanks to this, to put it politely, strange form of conspiracy thinking, a man broke into a Washington, D.C., pizza parlor with a gun to free children being held by the Satanic child abuser Hillary Clinton.
Greene ended up apologizing for some of her statements, saying that, yes, the school shootings at Sandy Hook and Parkland, Florida, were real and basically stopped her support of QAnon. Now she has a different cause: the Epstein files, which has caused a break with her past supporter, Donald Trump.
The 20,000 or so emails released are the tip of the iceberg, according to Greene Just release the files and your name will be cleared, she says, but Trump’s reaction to what seems like a simple request is turning on her, calling her “Wacky Marjorie.” It’s really amazing how the issue of the files is now dominating much of Washington when there are so many other issues to consider. But you do wonder what’s in them
Prayer for the Day
You have created us, O gracious God, in your image,
The image of love and concern for the world around us;
You have endowed us, O Source of being, with soul and mind,
The soul and mind to consider all that is around us in our world.
Energize us, as we continue on our journey to answer your call
By serving the many who need our help and assistance,
In the name of the One who reached out to those in need,
Even Christ Jesus our Lord, Amen.
Thoughts for the Day
Releasing the Epstein files is the easiest thing in the world. Just release it all. Let the American people sort through every bit of it, and, you know, support the victims. That’s just like the most common sense, easiest thing in the world. But to spend any effort trying to stop it makes – it just doesn’t make sense to me.

[I will]] have everyone reapply for their benefits, make sure that everyone that’s taking a taxpayer-funded benefit through ... food stamps, that they literally are vulnerable and they can’t survive without it.

When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none,
And heir tongue is parched with thirst, I the Lord will answer them,
I, the God of Israel will not forsake them.
