Under the pretense of protecting high school girls in sports, the Attorneys General of 20 states went to federal court to block an order under Title IX, the linchpin of high school sports for girls.  One would think from the filing that there are hundreds of thousands of transgender boys preying on girls in their locker rooms and outdoing them on the field.

Whenever the yahoos of this world look for a decision to support their narrow view, they search for a judge who matches it and they found it in Judge Charles Atchley, one of the last judges appointed just before President Biden was inaugurated.

The ruling stated that the policies interfered with “Plaintiff states’ ability to enforce their state laws” restricting transgender people from using bathrooms and playing on teams that match their gender identity.  Based on a study by UCLA, about 1.6 persons 13 years old and over identify as trans out of a Nation of 330 million, or .004848 percent of the population.  Now, there’s a real threat, right?

Prayer for the Day

It seems like the world is changing all around us, O God,
   And we are confused and do not know how to respond;
Our old lines of demarcation have become more fluid,
   And we are confronted with new approaches to old issues.
Grant us, O God, your holy Wisdom and broaden our vision
   To include all persons as part of your creation.
In the name of the One who welcomes all,
   Even Christ Jesus our Lord, Amen.

Thoughts for the Day

It's easy to fictionalize an issue when you're not aware of the many ways in which you are privileged by it.”
          - Kate Bornstein, writer, from Gender Outlaws: The Next Generation

Gender is one of the biggest projections placed onto children at birth- despite families having no idea how the baby will truly turn out.”
           George M. Johnson, writer and activist, from All Boys Aren't Blue

For wisdom is a kindly spirit, but will not free blasphemers from the guilt of their words;
   Because God is a witness of their inmost feelings, a true observer of their hearts,
     And a hearer of their tongues.
Because the spirit of the Lord has filled the world, and that which holds all things
   Together knows that is said, therefore those who utter unrighteousness
     Will not escape notice, and justice, when it punishes, will not pass them by.
    Wisdom 1: 6-8
