As we are getting ready to celebrate our 250th, the House cut $141 million from the program known as WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) which serves 5.4 million in our land, with its disparate wealth. This bill would reduce benefits for breastfeeding mothers from $52 to $13 and from $26 to $10 for young children. just as fruit and veggie prices are rising. Now there’s building a healthy America for you!
More and more we are becoming a tale of two Americas, the ultra-rich with their tax benefits which buy them yachts and private islands, and the rest of us. And those poor oil companies that made billions off the war that was supposed to be over weeks ago.
In the meantime, thousands of Albanians are protesting its government’s sale of a pristine area along the Adriatic coast to Ivanka and Jared, where they plan to build a resort. Zvernec Bay is the site of the most ecologically important area of the coast, but money talks, and not just in the halls of Congress. Wonder how little they paid in taxes, but under the so-called “Settlement,” it won’t matter because they’ll never be audited.

Ah, O God, where are you when we need you?
Your chastising fire on the heads of the wicked?
Lord, we call on you to protect us from lying politicians,
From developers and oil barons who have billions!
But, in truth, O God, we know that it is our actions,
Our pulling together that will restore justice to our land.
In the name of the One who gives us strength,
