Fraud, waste,and abuse. That’s what we were told that would be eliminated when the present occupants took control of the White House in 2025. However, one of the largest and most expensive items of waste, fraud, and abuse is the policy of what are called “third-country deportations.”
Managed by the State Department, headed by a man who claims he supports “real” asylum claims, people who were granted withholding of removal have been removed to third countries at an astronomical cost to you and me, the American taxpayer.
We have spent over $410 million to remove persons granted protection here in the U.S. to cash-strapped countries eager to take them for a price. What’s the difference between this and human trafficking? None. This includes an Iranian woman who fled her country after participating in protests that resulted in thousands killed. And the State Department refuses to respond to Congressional inquiries. This is fraud, waste, and abuse, not to mention a violation of our own laws.
Prayer for the Day
Trapped by false promises we were urged to believe,
As a consequence, we deny you by our neglect of others;
Looking back at a time when the world seemed more gentle,
We crave the memories of our dreams and imagination.
Help us to walk into the future with insight and care,
Discerning how best to live in this time.

[One man] shared footage of where he lived now: an abandoned building with no electricity or running water in a neighbouring country, he said. He spent his daylight hours hiding, and walked almost an hour to find food when darkness fell. His bed was a blanket on the floor, although he barely slept, he said, too scared of being infected by one of the insects that crawled or buzzed around him.
